The Poetry Friday for Celebrations Anthology from Sylvia Vardell and Janet Wong.

Hello everyone! I was very excited when my poem was chosen to be in the Celebrations
anthology. Very excited is an understatement. I did a happy dance for several days. :-) So I am extremely pleased to announce a giveaway, y'all. These poems are for Poetry Celebrations.com and keeps the party going all year long! In The Poetry Friday Anthology for Celebrations from Pomelo Books (Teacher/Librarian Edition and Children’s Edition) you’ll find poems for 156 holidays in English and Spanish, including: International Talk Like  A Pirate Day (my poem), Random Acts of Kindness Week, Children’s Book Week, World Laughter Day, National Camping Month, International Literacy Day, Global Hand Washing Day, and more! Some are funny, some are serious, all are wonderful. This
anthology is for PreK – Grade 5. I have three sets to give out. United States and Canada only. All you have to do is comment on this post. Don't want a copy? Send a teacher/librarian to comment. On Friday, April 24th, I will let Random.org choose three winners. Let's get this party going.

Poetry Friday

Kwame Alexander challenged us to write a clerihew for National Poetry Month. Mine is featured today over at Today's Little Ditty.

Here it is:

I want to sing verse like Renee
she treats you to a lyrical buffet
her poetry's a golden chain
in relation mine gives tummy pain.

Go over to Robyn Hood Black's and check out all the Poetry Friday posts.

I'm sorry I've been MIA. Christopher has had another problem.  We are praying that this will go away. I am moving about trying to catch up on everyones A to Z posts. xoxoxoxo
