It's Time For Blood, Boobs & Carnage Blogfest! Yep, You Heard Me Right. *snort*

From Alex Cavanaugh's (the Ninja Captain's) blog. On May 18, 2015, post about a movie, television show, book, or all three that falls into the category of Blood, Boobs, and Carnage. (Or just Blood and Carnage or other mixture.) It can be any genre that fits the bill – fantasy, science fiction, action, adventure, western, thriller, etc.

So here we are. I have given this a lot of thought. Pondered it and considered it. I was able to whittle (a NC term), trim it down to two.

First up, Gotti. This qualifies for book, movie AND television show (notice how I got a three for one there?). Hey, I'm hearing the BOOS. Look. I am one out of about ten folks who loved this story. What's not to love? Crime boss, famous Gambino family, "Teflon Don", Armand Assante...you get me right? The made for TV movie version was brilliant. Assante was a natural. I know people say that there was nothing new about this. That it was just like any other mob movie. BAH, I say. BAH, HUMBUG! I was in my element watching this and reading about it too.

Which brings me to my number two pick. (Are you sensing a pattern about me here?)

Witness to the Mob. *wink* *wink* This film follows the rise of Sammy "The Bull" Gravano in ranks in the Gambino crime family.  I cannot help myself. I LOVE these movies, books, television shows about these mafia families. Sammy killed his best friends, his BOSS and his wife's brother (I know, what a guy, huh?). But there's more. He turned rat. He gave up THE man himself, Teflon Don. These movies rank on my A list. Don't diss them. Just smile and nod. Okay? ;-) And go visit the others who probably DON'T have mob movies, books and television shows as their picks.

You can find them over at The Captain's Place.

I don't know why half this post is so wonky looking.

I haven't been blogging as much because I have a new and improved blog I'm working on(and that's quite a bit of a time suck). With the help of one of my kids, that is. It's on WP. I hope to unveil it very soon.

Thanks for reading.
