Pa rum de dummmm dum dum:
Sharon Mayhew - Signed paperback
Susan Kaye Quinn - eBook
Yippee for y'all. Today is your lucky day. (I already blabbed this to Mayhew in an email!) So technically, yesterday was her lucky day. *ahem*
On to the the questions.
What is the working title of your book?
Depends on which book you mean. I have several picture books and two MG novels in the works. I'll pick one. The first one.
Where did the idea come from for the book? From my hubby, actually.
What genre does your book fall under? Contemporary. It's MG.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Oh let me think. Elle Fanning, Ryan Newman, and Chandler Canterbury. Okay the casting has finished. Let us make the movie! *wink*
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Thirteen-year-old Anna doesn’t let anything hold her back--not her diabetes and certainly not a few wisps of grey cloud threatening her afternoon horse ride.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? Repped.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? Ack! One year.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Gary Paulsen’s HATCHET and Kathleen Duey’s HOOFBEATS
Who or What inspired you to write this book? My horses really. They are so fast and free. Two of them are in the story.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? It's adventure. If you love thrilling story line then this book is for you! Anna and Claire are alone in the Blue Ridge Mountains after a freako thunderstorm hits. They are lost, alone, and afraid. They have to become strong in the midst of wild animals and no food. It's switches POV with Anna and her brother Ian. He's back at the ranch and means to find Anna and Claire no matter what.
Now I must tag some peeps. So I tag YOU! Happy weekend peeps! MWAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
