A grassy canal
the crocodile's domicile
eyes glaring at me.

Thanks for reading.

  1. This made me smile. I wonder if anyone has ever done a picture book of haikus about animals. If not, we need one!

  3. Love it, Robyn. The near-rhyme of 'crocodile's domicile' is clever.

  7. Nice! Made me think of Lee's book Alligators Overheard. I know this is about crocodiles- but the words got my mind thinking in all different directions. Beautiful in its simplicity. :)

  23. Very nice, but the orange is hard on my eyes. I'm fighting the flu so just about everything is. :(

  25. *gulp* I love how quickly you build this. Each line increases the tension, and I find myself mentally standing in the swampland of Florida, wondering if I can run fast enough.

  26. I find myself tiptoeing away... I read that they can run pretty fast on land. So yeah, I'd be running.
