Me and Beth

This is Beth and I at our coffee shop. Now we don't actually own the coffee shop. We just have our meetings there every other Saturday.

Why am I smiling so big, you ask. Dunno. Kind of looks weird doesn't it? No matter how hard I try to take a good picture, they always turn out like this. As a matter of fact, I kinda expect it now. I'd be shocked if I took a pic, without that dumb lookin' smile. Beth on the other hand looks FANTASTIC!

Davin, I did get her away from that tree though. *she high fives Davin* Yeah!

I hope everyone had a GREAT and productive unplug week. I got a lot written on my WIP. And today I'll look up agents to send my query to. It's polished. I worked on it yesterday. So now the wait. UGH! *she bites off last fingernail*

I'd love to hear how your unplug week went. :)

  2. Not nearly as much accomplished as I would have liked. And the efforts to resist plugging in were too great. I doubt I will be unplugging again in the future. I don't have the willpower for it!

  3. Angie: I'm glad your week went so well. Unplug week recharges me. I love it!:) But it's not for everybody.

Megan: Like I said, it's not for all writers. Don't feel bad, it's just not for you. :)

  5. Hi Robyn,
Welcome back from your unplugged week. I'm so glad it recharges you. I think I need to just do it for hours or days when necessary, because I also get a lot out of the give-and-take of writers' blogs. And my goodness, when I go away for a few days, it's hard to catch up!
I just love that photo of you two lovely ladies. Thanks for making me smile.

  7. I didn't completly unplug. I just relaxed a bit. Got some stuff done around the house and what not.

Great pic! We all have our goofy smiles, but it gives our pictures personality.

  8. Lynnette: Yeah, I am using agentquery and querytracker. I just want to get this train moving. :)

Tricia: thanks for the welcome back. It really works for me, but it's not the be all that ends all. We each have to do what we have to do. I'll be over later to catch up with you.

You mean Beth looks lovely and Robyn just looks...well plain dorkified! Glad you smiled. Talk to you soon! :)

  9. PJ: I just wish I could take a pic without the dorky smile. Sheesh! You made my day. :)

Katie: Relaxing recharges too. I really love to unplug, because it gives me unlimited time for a week to get a lot done on my story. But that said, I love to get back and visit with everyone too.

Thanks for saying that it's a great pic. You too made my day. I dream of the day when I take that PERFECT pic. Hmm, when will it come? :)

  12. High five, Robyn! You both look happy, and that makes me happy. The bigger the smile the better! I'm glad you had a good unplugged week! I didn't unplug, but I finished a draft of my book and am submerged at least knee high in submitting queries. Good luck with yours!

  13. Hooray for writing friends!! Great pic. I'm like you, I smile big and it doesn't make the perfect pic, but it does show who you are. MUCH better than the overly-posed smile pics, I think :)

  14. I didn't unplug but I still had a great week. :-) I like your smile! It's happy and inviting. :-) Very beautiful.

    Have fun with those queries!!!!

  15. Davin: The bigger the smile the better. Well it must be soooo much better looking at the size of my smile! UGH! But thank you for saying that. You made me feel really great.

Glad to hear you finished a draft. Yep, knee high too. Today I'm diving in head first with the agent queries. :) Good luck my friend.

Tess: thanks for saying great pic. You guys are all just making this girl feel happy, happy, happy! I know what you mean about the overly-posed pics, but I'd like just one pic that doesn't show every tooth in my head. You know, a normal smile. And hey I toned it down. I said to myself, don't smile so big. :)

Jessica: happy and inviting. Hey what a compliment. Thanks for saying beautiful. I needed that. And I am having fun with the queries. Loads! :)

  18. It's a lovely pic of both of you! And you look so cute with that smile, Robyn! My unplug week was spent vacationing, although I did get research done (because there's a bigger library where I'm at than what I have at home). So that was great. Good luck with those queries!!

  19. BJ: Cute?? Did something happen to your eyes while on vacation? Get something in them?? :) Thanks for the compliment! Glad you got that research done. Yep, querying. And started my new WIP! :)

  20. Yay for progress on your WIP. That's always the best feeling. :) Perhaps I need new glasses, but both ladies in the picture are lovely--inside and out. :)

Amy: Contagious joy! I'll have to remember that the next time I'm looking at one of my dorky pics! Thanks for the charming way you always put things! We love ya! I found an agent on querytracker.com. Heading back there today. :)
