There have been a lot of posts this week on trust. Who do we as writers trust the most. Glam did one where most of the answers were hubby/wife, kids, mom and dad. Then Jessica did a post on trusting ourselves. Now this is very important to me because we all know I'm getting ready to query. *she reaches for a cigarette and remembers she doesn't smoke*. I want to trust myself that I've minded my p's andq's, researched, and done everything right.*thumbs up*. Scott even did a post on trust too. It made me ask myself, who do I trust in my writing? I gave a big YOU, as my answer. I trust all of you. It has been my great pal and writing buddy Beth that helped me get my MS ready. Glam has even helped me some on that. Then all of you that weighed in on my query. I trust all of you totally and completely.:)
Thanks writing buds. You'll never know how much I appreciate it. Hmm, I guess you do.:) Happy 4th of July!
Wow, trusting one's self with one's writing. What a bold concept. I want to be able to say that I fully trust myself...I'm working on that.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I trust myself more and more as time goes on but I still question certain decisions I make in my life, and that includes writing. :)Thanks for the visit. :)
ReplyDeleteGo forth with confidence! Or, as Thoreau would say: Go Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams!
ReplyDeleteTrust is becoming more and more important to me as I delve deeper into writing. I have to trust myself, my characters, my readers, and everything I've done to lead me to this point. It's a huge step, and scary!
Good luck with everything, Robyn! If you ever need more help on anything, let me know.
Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on querying. Find a happy place in your writing where you trust yourself to have done well. It can help. :D
Best luck to querying! It's so hard to judge a novel with a few paragraphs! It sounds like your ms is ready to go when you get the requests though! =D Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th to you, too! And good luck on those queries! I'm rooting for you. :D
ReplyDeleteOne thing I like about trust is that you can trust different people for different things. For example, I can trust you to always pick out sensory detail that needs work (or is really good). My husband's good at picking out logic details.
ReplyDeleteI really like being able to turn to a person I completely trust on a specific issue in writing!
PS: Will you send me a link to that blog we were talking about today? I really want to check it out!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, Thanks! You're so good to all of us. I'm finding trust more and more, but you're right, it's hard. I guess I'll trust myself more the longer I do this. :)
ReplyDeleteDanyelle, *fingers crossed* Here's hoping.:)
Sara, Thanks and don't worry, I'll keep everyone posted. I'm nervous, but ready.:)
BJ, Thanks friend. Especially for the encouragement! :)
Beth, I sent it. Hope you have a nice time tonight. As far as turning to someone, I know I can turn to you! :)
