2010, I welcome you with open arms. I am thrilled that you have finally arrived. You are my destiny. I will find an agent within your months. I will finish another novel by the time you come to an end. I will live happy and strong as I travel through you. Take your time. Don't move too fast. Our schedule is one that can be broken or we can make substitutions should the need arise. So let's live slower, dream higher, and never forget to count our blessings. Welcome friend. I have long awaited your blessed arrival. :-)
How are you greeting this beautiful New Year?
Oh, this is brilliant. Be strong, girl, be strong!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth! Uh, now to write that synopsis. After school is over that is. :0)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, Robyn! I pray that you will find many good things in the coming year! Among them an agent! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jody. I pray the same for all of us.:0)
ReplyDeleteHave you been sipping at the egg nog this morning??
ReplyDeleteMy year is one of patience, slow and steady, no rush, no missing out, what will happen will happen when it's meant to happen, and not a moment sooner, no matter how much I want it all to happen NOW!
This year is about multi-tasking in a good way: revisions, work on query, work on new project, work on synopsis, revisions, and so on and so forth.
This year is about maintaining the balance between writing and life, and knowing that rushing through writing or life isn't a good thing, not at all, not at all.
This year is about taking the moments to smell the coffee, watch the squirrels come all the way up to the fountain by the house, and stare through the window at the dog. Yes, the pesky little bird feeder raiding squirrel has been doing just that lately. This year is about sitting outside on a Saturday or Sunday morning during the Spring, Fall, and Winter, and enjoying that first cup of coffee of the day surrounded by the sounds/sights of nature.
This year is about . . . friendships found in years past, and maintained whether through blogging, facebooking, email, or face to face interaction.
This year is about more free advertising for my blog on Robyn's blog! Ha!!
May your wishes for the new year come through in grand and exciting ways, my friend!
S
With the same enthusiasm! This is another blessed reminder that God's compassions never fail- great is His faithfulness!
ReplyDeleteOMG. If I were to write a greeting for Mr. Twenty Ten, I would use each word that you just wrote. How weird is that??
ReplyDeleteCan I print this out and stick it to my fridge? :)
You know how to speak to our hearts, Robyn. I love your voice. :0)
ReplyDeleteWe will make this year so welcome and comfy that it will be sure to give in to all our wants and wishes, right? :0)
I am greeting new beginnings and renewed perspectives:)
ReplyDeleteYes, you will! And I will be cheering from the friend-lines :D.
ReplyDeleteWow. You say that so well. So, I'll just go with Ditto!
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me smile. Happy New year!
You took the words right out of my mouth. Agent and another book, those are my goals this year.
ReplyDeleteDitto - what you said! :) You did all the work for us, Robyn. How could we top you?! Well said, friend! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove it! And good luck with finding an agent. I will be trying to do the same. Eek! :D Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Robyn. I shall have to come back and read this more often. I hope for all the best things for you this year--you definitely deserve them. :D
ReplyDeleteI love your positive thinking! I ditto all your goals, lol! Godspeed to both of us!
ReplyDeleteI love the part about living slower. I look back on how fast 2009 went by, and I think it was because I was in a rush for everything to happen. I want to live 2010 slowly and savor every moment.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said Robyn. Here's to truly tasting and appreciating life and all its wonder.
ReplyDeleteYou're awesome, Robyn! Way to tell 2010 who's boss :) That's great positive thinking and I'm going to be rooting for you the whole way!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Good attitude!
ReplyDeleteRobyn, you are truly inspiring!! I want your optimism and joyful spirit!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I've never heard a New Year's greeting quite like yours. I love it!
ReplyDeleteLive slower. That is my motto this year! I like this post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post, Robyn! I love that you are addressing the year directly! I should try that. It sounds so strong. Good luck with all of your goals. It would bring me so much pleasure to see them all work out for you in 2010.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful greeting you give the New Year! It inspires me to come up with one myself! I love it!
