Scooby

You might remember my cat Blue that died in November. This is his younger (by three months) brother. He was so sad when Blue died that he mourned himself to death. He died Tuesday. I wanted to honor him. I have more pics but Scooby was either eating or wanting to go out and play.

This is the three of them together. Scooby in the front. Their mama is fourteen. I wonder how long she will be with me. Thanks for reading. I'll have another post later. I just had to respect my sweet Scooby.

  9. Robyn, I'm so sorry to hear about this. A couple of years ago, I lost my two dogs, brother and sister. The sister died and the brother seemed to want to follow right behind. I know how heartbreaking that is. I ended up writing a story about it and it has been one of the most sincere pieces I've ever done.

  14. Shannon, I did see it. And a picture book it shall be. I knew you were a cat person *hugs to a fellow cat lover*

Davin mentioned something about writing a short story about it too. Which I probably will, just to help me heal.

  15. Oh...so sorry. I had a dog who mourned herself to death when my other dog died. She'd never been without him. You can't tell me animals don't have feelings, memories. I've experienced it too often. I have no doubt your kitties are playing somewhere, climbing trees and chasing mice.

  16. Bish, I agree. They have feelings and memories and they feel sad when they experience loss. And they can't physically cry or talk about their feelings like we can. I think Scooby just had to leave. Scooby had never been without Blue either. He was in a bad way. Thanks for talking about it with me.

  28. Cat's are people too! Losing a furry person is losing a friend. Each one an individual apart from the other. May you receive some comfort from the spiritual source you hold dear.

This is my first blog visit to Putting Pen to Paper. Sharing and providing help for others is a needful thing. Thank you.
