Ever seen this?

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes for Christopher, me and the family yesterday. We have to go back tomorrow, and they are going to schedule an appointment with a Cardiologist. They think the veins leading from his heart to his brain could be the problem. I am much in prayer that this is not the case. So a big virtual *HUG* to all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. :0)

I recently found Crow Toes Quarterly. Has anyone ever heard of it? It looks to me like a great venue for some writers I know, that aren't published yet to get some publishing credits. I don't write fantasy, but I know some who do. Oh you know who you are. :) And I think fantasy is accepted along with playfully dark literature for kids. Is there a magazine like this for YA? Crow Toes is really for MG, but YA would probably love it too. Especially younger YA.

Tell me what you think. Hey, I might even submit a story. Stranger things have happened. :) Here's the link.

  1. Never heard of Crow Toes before. But it looks like it'd be a good place for stories like "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Good time of year for them too!

  10. Tess, you are right. It HAS been a LONG, LONG ROAD. I've learned some things about me and my family in that time. And more importantly, I've learned a lot about God. He doesn't leave us in our time of need. He's there, we just have to ask. I will keep courage and God close. Thanks, Tess. I am praying it will all work out and that my sweety will be healthy and safe. :)

  16. Robyn, Sorry I missed yesterday's post, but I hope everything goes okay with the cardiologist! I don't know if I can ever be of any help, but being a biochemist, i have access to a bunch of medical journals and I also know several doctors. If there's ever a question I can work on, don't hesitate to ask.

  17. Hey Danyelle! I am so very glad you stopped by, for I miss you through the week these days. :) You MADE my day today. Shiny and beautiful? Thank you!!

And thank you, thank you for the hugs and prayers. I hope they are able to get to the bottom of it quickly too. I'm beginning to get tired and frustrated. I see way too many doctors. GAH! :)

  18. Robyn, I'm keeping you and your family in my prayers that tomorrow the doctors will get to the root of your son's medical problem. Yes,keep the faith knowing that NOTHING is impossible for GOD. If you can stand one more, here's a *HUG*

And Robyn, I just noticed from your past posts that the hospital is in Chapel Hill. Both my grandma (92 & still kickin') and great-grandmother grew up near Chapel Hill in Rockingham, NC. Small world! :)

  20. Davin! I never thought about that until you just mentioned it. What a great idea. I may take you up on your offer. Thank you my friend. That gives me a lot of encouragement. :) And don't worry about missing a post. I know for sure that you are thinking great thoughts about healing for him. :)

  21. Crystal, It is a small world. I just realized something. Are you my ol' friend from critique circle? The Crystal that I critiqued your story about the girl wanting to join her mama in New York, but she had to stay with her grandparents. She kept hopin' for a letter. That was some great writing. And if that is you, it IS small world!

And I need all the hugs I can get. It feels so good! Thanks my friend. Give your grandma a squeeze for me when you see her. She had to come from good stock. How wonderful for you to have her still. :)

God is with us, but I am scared. That's really the first time I've admitted it out loud. Thanks for your prayers. :)

  27. As I write this you're probably getting ready to go to the hospital again to see the cardiologist, Robyn (it's early morning on the 14/10). I've just lit a candle for you and your son and do hope that all will be well. Most importantly that the specialist can find a way to heal your son. Sending a big ((((HUG)))) for both of you
