Said the chapter to the writer, "Have you noticed what happens when you write with abandon? Check out the 'Tom Swifties' inside your story. "Fire!" yelled Mac alarmingly, and what about this one, "It looks like elephant dung," said Marguerite in Zulu, I mean really, Writer. What must you have been thinking?"
"Hmmm," said Writer to the chapter, "I'm thinking that only the author of Gulliver's Travels could get away with that kind of murder."
"My thoughts exactly, Writer. Should I make a pot of coffee in preparation for an entire night of editing?"
"Better make that some chocolate Bliss and two pots of coffee, Chapter."

I love this. You're inner dialogue is hilarious. It sounds a bit like inside my head. And I love your Alphabet shapes too.

"Hee, hee, hee," she giggled hysterically as spit sprayed all over the computer screen which she had just cleaned with what had once been her mother handkerchief and which brought back a flood of memories like the time her mother sneezed and her glasses flew off her face and went sailing across the room, hitting the sleeping cat that was so startled it leaped up knocking over the prized vase and breaking it into a thousand millions pieces which made her mother...(I could go on...)
ReplyDeleteMy first drafts often are, um...elephant dung. But that's okay. At least it's a draft and it's something to work with. And the editing really fleshes out the story. I enjoy that part. :)
