the joyously jovial job of writing my heart out. I would write if no one read my words. I would write if I were the only person on earth. (If I had enough paper.) I write because I am! (Whoa!) Pretty powerful, isn't it? You ask me if I mean that I would write for myself, even if no one wanted to read the words? Yep! Because I love reading what I've created. (You're thinking I have a swelled head, aren't ya?) Nope! I love reading too. And if I were the only person on earth, I would have to write some stuff for me to read. What does writing mean to you? :-) For more A to Z posts, click on the alphabet square on the top of my sidebar (Isn't it cool? It flashes letters. Ooo) *waving and singing*
Good for you! We write because we are writers. Because we need to. And one day, I want you to have a gazillion readers. You'll get there!
ReplyDeleteWe write to share our internal imagination, thoughts and feelings with others!

I hear you about writing, even if I were the only person reading. I've gone over some of my stuff from long ago and am sometimes amazed. "Where the heck did THIS come from?" And of course there's that other stuff... "Oh GAK! This is horrible!"
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way! As a kid I only wrote for me. We write for many reasons, and writing for yourself is a form of therapy and reward I think. Thanks for sharing Robyn. *waving back*
ReplyDeleteAMEN! It couldn't have been said better :) I wouldn't give up writing for anything in the world.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I would still write even if only I were left to read.... But, I do like the idea of creating stories that give others that wow feeling!
ReplyDeleteRobyn!! You totally radiate JOY!
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree! I think I'll write until I no longer can:)

Dropping by from the A-Z!
It must be wonderful when you're born with a gift for writing. Even better when you can share it and bring joy to others!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to K.
Ha! I like that if you were the only person on earth you would write your own stuff to read. You are a "Jewel."
ReplyDeleteIf you were the only person on earth, you'd have to do something to keep busy!
ReplyDeleteLove it. "I would write if no one read my words." There lies the true passion. I'm not sure I could "not" write.
ReplyDeleteI feel the joy! :)
ReplyDeleteI like your fuzzy green J. I'd have to write, too, because I'd need to company that my characters would make for me. Otherwise, I'd die of loneliness.
