L is for...

Laptop.

My MOST important writing tool. Without that this writer would be in trouble. Ya see, my L doesn't have internet service flowing into it. This means there is NO way I can Facebook, twitter, blog, or otherwise goof off, while I'm supposed to be writing. YAY me. *feeling pretty smart*

Libretto. Someone wrote this. It's an opera. They sing really high and hold their notes really long. They can break glass. *feeling like a genius*

Lists. Writers like these. They add to the daily word count. *wink*

Loopy. (This is definitely a word.) How I feel right now. :-)

  3. I LOVE MY LAPTOP.... I seriously would be beside myself without it. I have internet service on mine and I write, blog, email, write, blog, blog, blog ...

Never a boring moment with my laptop close by.

  4. I love my laptop, but it's pretty old so it does have a mind of its own sometimes. Hmmm, I may need to get a new one soon...

  8. I progressed slowly. I started out on an old TI 64 or something. When I was told a mouse could be used with it, I couldn't believe someone would need a mouse (now can't operate without one) Then I finally gave in and bought a 286 with a 40Meg Hard drive, 640 RAM. Was forced to got to a 386, 486, then a pentium, and so forth. Finally, I was given a laptop as a Christmas bonus from work, wasn't all that impressed until the desk top died. Now I wouldn't go back to a desk top for all the, well that might be an exageration, lets say I love my laptop. No, I don't use the rage-murder-secret weapon of self-destruction built in mouse pad, I have a USB mouse hooked up to this wonderful laptop!

  9. You are so smart to have a laptop without internet on it. I am sure you get a lot more done that way.

  11. I like that, adding the words in your lists to the daily wordcount, I'm sure I could increase mine a lot by doing that!

  12. What a smart little writer you are. I really should look into doing the same. Too many distractions, email, blogging, twitter, facebook etc.

  15. I definitely could not be without my laptop when writing, but I always (and I mean ALWAYS) have to turn the internet off. My laptop is a little screwy and it takes 9-10 minutes just to get the internet up and working properly. Instead of having my husband fix it I keep it that way, so that when I switch it off for writing time I don't switch it back on just to check Facebook!

Followed you from the A-Z challenge!

  16. Love my laptop too. But a lot of my writing starts out by hand. Shocking!

I agree the internet can be a real time drain!

    And I love your bookshelf-brilliant!!

  17. Haha! I love your L's. I almost always feel loopy, so I'm with you there. It's a great idea not to have internet service on your laptop. I really have to discipline myself not to use the internet while I'm writing. I usually use it as a reward. For example, I get to visit your blog because I just wrote 1,000 words. Yay!
